Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and everyone for their words, actions, and efforts to make my birthday ever so special. I am eternally grateful for everyone who is in my life as each person has been pivotal in my growth as a human being. I am who I am because of who is part of my journey and I am so grateful. My soul smiles because of them. I am SO excited for this next year, the experiences, moments, and growth that will occur.

Today, I was honored to volunteer at the Capella 2014 Summer Commencement ceremony. What fun did I have inspiring others, helping graduates prepare for their moments to shine. It was such an incredible day and little did I realize that spending the day with those incredible individuals was how motivation it would give me to continue on my own academic journey! Thank you graduates and Capella. I am grateful for each person I am connected with.

What brought you motivation today?

What a lovely Friday! I was thrilled to try out a new restaurant with an old friend who I have not seen in months. It was so wonderful to catch up with her over a fabulous meal. I am really blessed to have such dear friends in my life and I am grateful for time with each and everyone one of them.

Which friends are you grateful for?

I had a hair appointment today and just LOVE to get it done! Another aspect that I love about my hairstylist is that she is super quick. I am in and out within an hour and a half. For someone who has little time available for most things in life I greatly appreciate ways to use my time as efficiency as possible. I’m thankful for her.

Who is someone in your life that you appreciate?

Youtube.com….who doesn’t LOVE youtube.com. I am one of the sites biggest fans and have subscribed to many different channels. Lately, though my viewing pleasures have focused around accounting and financial terms. I am afraid to admit just how many lectures and videos I have watched this week. What a wonderful resource this has turned out to be for me and I am thoroughly grateful for the immediate availability of tools that can help me and boy do I take advantage.

Do you ever watch videos on youtube? Which ones are your favorite?

Wow, has this current Financial Decision Making course is a true challenge! It feels as though I am learning a completely different language in a very short amount of time. Oye! I am SO thankful though for my instructor and classmates who are very willing to communicate as often as I need. Having people that I can speak to is exactly what will assist me to succeed in this course. Thank goodness for them!

Who in your life is assisting you through something challenging?

I love when my I think my day is going to be so busy and hard to get through and then it ends up being the opposite. Thank goodness our Monday rush has slowed. I am able to leave work peacefully and return tomorrow. Oh, the smalls things.

How was your Monday?

WOW! Am so appreciative of my brother-in-law for his willingness and assistance by helping my install a new batter and alternator in my car. I saved quite a bit of money and cannot be more thankful for his help.

Has someone done something extremely helpful for you lately?

What a gorgeous day to spend with family. We spent the day grilling, outside, and simply enjoying a delicious meal and quality time with family. It was a really wonderful day and I am incredibly blessed to have such loving, caring, and giving individuals in my life.

What brought you gratitude on this wonderful Saturday?

I have a coworker who has so graciously given me a concert ticket for this evening for an artist I have LOVED for the longest. I am thrilled and so excited to go this evening and enjoy a night out. Which is something I don’t do enough of. I am SO grateful to her and her kindness! May god continue to bless her.
