365 Days of Gratitude – Day 298

Tonight, we were ever so grateful to be celebrating the upcoming birth of baby Townsend. Chris and Christy are welcoming a baby girl this December and tonight we honored them with a baby shower. All things pink, darling, frilly, and pretty were on tap for a midweek family gathering. It was lovely and I am grateful to be a part of their lives, especially at this exciting time! Cannot wait to meet you lil’ princess. You will be loved beyond measure!

What life event are you looking forward to?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 296

Today was a girl’s day at the fair. We had a ball moving through the crowds. Eating unhealthy foods and trying some new things. We also spent time proudly boasting around my mom’s ribbon winning knitted item in the Creative Arts building. We always knew she was an award winning knitter! Her knitting skills are amazing and she has produced many beautiful items.

We ended the evening by my best girl and I participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and donation. It was a lot of fun to do this with and I’m SO proud of her for being such a good sport and feeling excited with me. She’s such a gem!

I’m grateful for so many wonderful experiences today. LOVE days like this!

How was your Sunday?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 295

Spent the day today being super productive, finished one paper, wrote another, had a wonderful lunch, lots of quality time with my niece, and lots of cleaning done. So thankful for days like today. I’m fully caught up on school work now after being behind for weeks (more than I’d like to admit). In any case, I am grateful for days like today where I can get most of everything I need to done.

How was your Saturday?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 294

Am SOOOOOOO excited that in ending the Employee Recognition week at Capella the entire company has been invited to the MN State Fair. I am really excited to have this opportunity to have time off, free tickets, food tickets, and transportation but most of all to spend quality time with my coworkers. I am grateful to work for a company that values it’s employees as much as Capella does. A sincere thank you!

What aspects of your job are you grateful for?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 292

Are you watching the Ice Bucket Challenges for ALS? I love watching my family and friends, as well as, celebrities. It’s wonderful to see people come together for the purpose of a charity and to bring awareness to a deadly and wicked disease. My heart feels for all of those affected and am thrilled that now with funds being donated for research a cure is closer than ever before. I’m grateful for all of those who have taken the challenge head on.

Who are you grateful for today?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 291

Wow, was I appreciative of the perk parking I was able to enjoy today. In a recent contest at work I won 5 days of parking in our ramp next to our building. Which means I was able to park close to work and for FREE-which I just love. I love anything easy and free/or cheap. What a wonderful treat to have. I’m grateful to work for a company where prizes can be won.

What brought you gratitude today?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 290

Sometimes, I really struggle with a variable schedule. With so much going on all the time, having consistency helps maintain a sense of predictability. Today, it was so nice to sleep in, wake up to breakfast and coffee already made, and have a slow morning getting to work. It was perfect response to a non-stop weekend. I’m grateful for days like this.

What did you appreciate about your Monday?
