365 Days of Gratitude – Day 89

While I could go on and on about the polar vortex we continue to experience I will refrain. Instead I will focus on what has made me happy (and grateful) today….such as an easy commute, getting to work early, parking on level 2 instead of level 10, and enjoying a cup of my favorite coffee in peace before the hubbub of the day began. May I have more days like today….except for the extreme cold.

What little things made you happy today?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 87

Deadlines…..oh, sweet deadlines. What I love most about deadlines is that they keep me focused and on goal. Today, was a wonderful day for so many reasons: was able to sleep in, coffee and breakfast made for me, finished my paper this morning, spent the afternoon celebrating my Grandpa’s 93rd birthday party, and wonderful dinner with family. I’m grateful that I finished my paper early and was able to relax for the entire day.

What deadline did you meet early today?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 86

Family is everything and I’ve won the family lottery. A common theme (as you’ve read) is how much I value time spent with family. Today, I was blessed to spend a lot of time with family, catch up with others, and was reminded of another blessing of mine (my health). I’m grateful for how giving my family is. They are awesome and I thank God daily for each and every one of them. Love them!

Who are you grateful for in your life?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 85

Oh Happy Friday…..how I love thee! Today starts a new schedule for me and I’m so grateful. I’m working earlier which means I leave earlier which really means I arrive home earlier. I’m excited to mold my day differently and capture the time in which I have the most energy (which are in the mornings and afternoons).

What are you grateful for on this beautiful Friday?

PS-Oh and it’s warming up 40 degrees from yesterday. YES!

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 83

The polar vortex has returned and the results are far and wide. Not only is it incredibly challenging to be outside, it’s challenging to travel outdoors. Whether you drive, bus, or take the train to work bundling to the nines is vital. Another consequence to this deep winter is that the cold and flu seem to be everywhere. If you haven’t battled the cold and/or flu you are one lucky individual. Life is busy enough right now and I’m plowing full steam ahead. Being able to fight off any viruses I might encounter is essential. Today, I’m grateful for winning the fight over the cold and the flu and remaining healthy.

What are you grateful for today?

365 Days of Gratititude – Day 82

Well, today we’re all back into the swing of things after a long holiday weekend. It’s nice to have those breaks. I hope everyone used their holiday with purpose.

Today, I’m grateful for something pretty. As a girl, I love pretty things (like most girls do) and today it’s my pretty new ring my sister gave me. It’s a rose gold infinity ring with the inscription ‘sisters’ in it. It’s such a treat and such a treasure. I treasure my sister and will proudly wear this reminder of our relationship.

I am also very thankful for my sis-in-law for picking up and dropping off my driver’s license I forgot yesterday. Appreciate you too!

Who in your life do you appreciate?
