365 Days of Gratitude – Day 249

“Be grateful, but never content.” Robin Roberts. I watched Oprah’s Master Class series with Robin Roberts and this quote really touched my heart. It seems fitting for me and where I am in my life. I tend to set lofty goals for myself and am a goal oriented person……and am rarely content with where I want to be in life…(something else I’m working on.)

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 248

Was able to spend another lazy Sunday today and loved every minute of it. It was hot out and I ventured out only enough to take the recycling out. I splet in, washed my sheets, leisurely read the newspaper, ran 3.5 miles, and spent many minutes on my dissertation. Am grateful for days like this.

What are you grateful for today?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 247

Despite having to work today (on a Saturday of a holiday weekend) I am pleased that the day is quiet and slow. Motivation was slow to come but once it did I hit the ground running. Am thankful for a slow and quiet work day.

Enjoyed the evening with a wonderful friend and her family. It was a blessing to spend time, share laughs, and play with her lil guy. Just love them.

What part of the day are you most grateful for?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 244

What a gorgeous day today was….and what a blessing it was to have the day off. Sure, I needed to trade a weekend day for this but to have a full day to enjoy how gorgeous the weather was, outside, with family, and getting a lot accomplished. I love days like this and am grateful to be able to do this more often…one day it will be far more often.

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 243

Tonight, I took Mya to her last soccer game of the season and very few of her teammates had come. The coaches decided on a pick up game with the kids versus the adults. The adults one 4-3 and we had a ball. Even though the adults won the game the real winner was Mya and her growth this season. I'm grateful for her and to be a part of her journey. Who in your life do you impact?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 242

Awww……running, oh how I have missed you! I, like many others, have a love/hate relationship with running and go in and out of phases where I enjoy running and work hard at becoming a better one. And then there are times in which I become bored and need variety in my workouts. But, nothing has transformed my body like running has so I think that is what drives my return to it. I am grateful to have returned and back into a a stronger workout routine.

What element of your life have you returned back to?

365 Days of Gratitude – Day 240

I swear I have THE best friends anyone can have. I spent some much needed time catching up with one of the most beautiful, funny, sweet, smart, and kind girlfriend anyone can ask for. I just adore her and am grateful to have her in my life and spend some wonderful girl time together. I spent so much time smiling that my cheeks were actually sore at the end of the night.
