I love trying new things and going to new places. Variety is the spice of life for me and today I was able to experience a new class that I really enjoyed. Recently, I joined the YMCA and love the multitude of classes and opportunities they have available. I took an aqua fitness course today (loved it!) and plan to take a fitness yoga course tomorrow. I’m sure not to get bored anytime soon.
What new thing have you incorporated into your life?

It was a monumental day today. Michael got his drivers license and is now a legal MN driver. I am SO proud of him and his accomplishments. I’m grateful for his persistence! Way to go Michael!

Wow, what a fantastic feeling it is when I get a full night’s sleep. I should no longer take for granted how much more energetic I feel when I sleep. For me, it makes such a difference. Again, it’s the little things.
What makes the difference for you?

The winter is slowly coming to an end…..and by slowly I mean painfully slow. Thank goodness though, each day our snow drifts shrink ever so slightly. I’m thankful for even the smallest increase in temperature. I know, it’s the little things.
What little things are you grateful for?

Did everyone take advantage of Caribou’s $2.00 coffee deal? My coworker and I did and it was a wonderful break from the daily grind. I love a good deal, a good cup of coffee, and time with really good people. Today’s coffee break had all three. If only everyday could be like this….but, if it was would it be another area that’s taken for granted? Hopefully not, with daily accounts of gratitude it shouldn’t be.
What aspect of your day has you smiling with gratitude?

After being out of work over the last few days it was nice to get back to a routine. While I would have LOVED to be away from work longer it was wonderful to return to a sense of normalcy and predictability. A warm thank you to my coworkers-I’m grateful for them being so helpful in my absence.
Which one of your coworkers are you grateful for?

One last time….how many times do we do this, whether we want to or not. We take that road, that trip, say goodbye just one last time. It’s the symbol of an ending. I find goodbye’s difficult. I want everything to stay the same forever. I’m the same person who wants every ending to be a happy one. But, we all know life doesn’t operate that way. That’s why we treasure each day, each word, and each moment because it can end at any time-whether we are ready or not. I’m grateful to be a part of it…..regardless of what it is, make the best of it, learn from it, and enjoy it.
What magical moment occurred for you today that has you feeling grateful?

What a beautiful celebration of life we had today for my grandfather. One last wonderful send off for the famous bird man of Roseville. I am grateful to have been part of the love that was shared and will continue to honor his spirit.
How did you spend this glorious day?
