Operation R & R is in full effect…..so was case study 6. I spent the vast majority of the day working on school work but the entire day in pajamas. Another successful day. Am grateful for days like this.

Today, Michael became a man…in his words. He bought his own car….with my help. He is now one step closer to full independence and I couldn’t be prouder. I’m grateful for his progress!

I came across another wonderful song that touched my heart and wanted to share it with those unfamiliar with the song/artist. I am grateful for songs that speak to my heart!

I attended my patient council meeting last night for a major health system in the Twin Cities and I just love this group. We are a group of 15 people from all backgrounds and ages and come together once a month to talk about ways we can improve health care. Last evening, I provided a number of suggestions to the group with many of them being validated and valued. I am thankful that my ideas are important to others and may just pave the way for better experiences as patients.

Tonight, we were ever so grateful to be celebrating the upcoming birth of baby Townsend. Chris and Christy are welcoming a baby girl this December and tonight we honored them with a baby shower. All things pink, darling, frilly, and pretty were on tap for a midweek family gathering. It was lovely and I am grateful to be a part of their lives, especially at this exciting time! Cannot wait to meet you lil’ princess. You will be loved beyond measure!

And here we are….another Monday….another fresh start….another new week. Today, I started my week and feel great. All my work is caught up on (both work and school) and the day went smoothly, quickly, and with no bumps. Love days like this-bump free.

Today was a girl’s day at the fair. We had a ball moving through the crowds. Eating unhealthy foods and trying some new things. We also spent time proudly boasting around my mom’s ribbon winning knitted item in the Creative Arts building. We always knew she was an award winning knitter! Her knitting skills are amazing and she has produced many beautiful items.
We ended the evening by my best girl and I participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and donation. It was a lot of fun to do this with and I’m SO proud of her for being such a good sport and feeling excited with me. She’s such a gem!
I’m grateful for so many wonderful experiences today. LOVE days like this!

Spent the day today being super productive, finished one paper, wrote another, had a wonderful lunch, lots of quality time with my niece, and lots of cleaning done. So thankful for days like today. I’m fully caught up on school work now after being behind for weeks (more than I’d like to admit). In any case, I am grateful for days like today where I can get most of everything I need to done.

Am SOOOOOOO excited that in ending the Employee Recognition week at Capella the entire company has been invited to the MN State Fair. I am really excited to have this opportunity to have time off, free tickets, food tickets, and transportation but most of all to spend quality time with my coworkers. I am grateful to work for a company that values it’s employees as much as Capella does. A sincere thank you!
