I’m back at it today….back in the office. It was SO wonderful only working 3 days this week (and secretly I hope to have a part time schedule such as this one day in the future.) It’s so relaxing working on a Saturday and while the world is enjoying their weekend I am able to focus and get a lot of work done. I’m grateful to have quiet opportunities to do that.

What brings you gratitude on this lovely Saturday?

It was another crazy day. I worked outside all day on the paining project which was exhausting! I was grateful to have my mother provide support, nourishment, and ongoing encouragement. This project is not without its frustrations and having an open ear and a very caring heart is most helpful. I am SO grateful for her!

How do you show gratitude towards your mother?

Was quite a busy day for me today. I worked my regular (day) job and then my painting project this evening. While I was exhausted from such a long day I am grateful to have projects that help me earn extra money?

What brought you gratitude today?

~RIP Maya Angelou~ to honor her….I share one of my favorite quotes of hers.

“You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive.”

Today, I was grateful to have awarded this gentleman the 2014 Kelly Jeanne Thompson Memorial Scholarship. He embodied what we look for in a student-a girl or boy scout, academic acheiver, and community servicer. We wish him well in his educational pursuits and look forward to honoring Kelly’s spirit with this legacy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUCE!!! You are such a giving, caring, inspirational, and thoughtful man! I am SO grateful for your presence in my life for the last 27 years. I appreciate all of your support, education, and encouragement. You are a true gift!

And…..we’re making great progress on the project. It’s moving along and we are seeing results. This is an enormous project and am pleased to see that an end is in sight….quite a bit away but progress none-the-less. I’m thankful for movement!

What progress are you making in your life?

Happy Friday and what a happy day it was. I was able to spend time celebrating a birthday of a dear friend who is such an amazing individual. I just love her but most of all I’m thankful for her!

Today was a wonderful day to make great progress on an outdoor painting project. I’m grateful for this gorgeous weather and to be able to spend time moving forward.
